• More than 150 exhibitors in 4,000 square meters will offer the most representative display of national and international products, equipment, services and technology for the hydrocarbon sector.

• This specialized fair will include the participation of 42 companies from China, Canada, United States, Germany, Venezuela, Mexico, Uruguay and Panama.

Bogota, November, 2009. From December 1st to the 4th, the Colombia Petroleum Show will be held in Bogota, the first hydrocarbon and alternative energies fair, organized by the Centro Internacional de Negocios y Exposiciones de Bogotá - Corferias (International Business and Exhibition Center) and the Asociación Colombiana de Ingenieros de Petróleos - Acipet (Colombian Association of Petroleum Engineers), and sponsored by the Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos – ANH (National Agency of Hydrocarbons).

This event, to be held for the first time, aims to create an integral platform for the sector, offer a space to exchange experiences through strategic themes, as well as carry out complementary activities such as field trips.

National and international hydrocarbon-services companies in exploration, drilling, production, machinery and

transportation; public and private entities supporting the sector, specialized magazines, operating companies, among others, will offer to the 2,000 visitors participating in the fair the most representative display of national and international products, equipment, services and technology for the hydrocarbon sector.

For four days 177 exhibitors, 42 of them from China, Canada, United States, Germany, Venezuela, Mexico,

Uruguay and Panama, will exhibit in 4,000 square meters of the Corferias facilities the best of the sector, in a grand commercial display of oil-services companies, products and equipment for the hydrocarbons sector.

Andrés López Valderrama, Executive President of Corferias, stated that “another important purpose of the event is to promote an adequate knowledge in the use of fossil fuels and increase the research and use of biological fuels as alternative energies”.

Additionally, the Acipet will hold the XIII Congreso Colombiano de Petróleo y Gas (XIII Colombian Petroleum and Gas Congress), presenting unpublished high-quality technical works that provide the best quality experiences and new technologies that contribute to the continuous improvement of industry and hence the country’s economy.
